NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 3: The relatives of a man, Saeed Khan, who had been killed about a month ago, and the Naib Nazim Union Council Bhorti on Monday held a protest demonstration outside the press club against the police for favouring the accused.

They staged a sit-in at the Allah Wala Chowk and blocked the National Highway for about half an hour. They then went to the DPO investigation office where they held a protest.

They said that Saeed Khan was killed about a month back and an FIR had been registered at the Mithiani police station.

They said that four accused — Khoban Solangi, Sheru Bhurt, Amir Ali Bhurt, and Ghulam Qadir Bohio — had been nominated in the FIR, but as the in charge of the investigation police was on leave, the case was transferred to Tharushah where ASI Noor Nabi was supposed to investigate it.

They accused ASI Noor of favouring the accused as only Khoban Solangi had been arrested.

They complained that the ASI instead of arresting the culprits was harassing them.

The DPO, Investigation, Gul Mohammad Shar, and the DPO, Operations, Mohammad Dawood Junejo, assured the protesters that the culprits would be arrested soon.
