KARACHI, Feb 3: The city government will launch a campaign, from Feb 6, to check the activities of professional beggars in the city during Eidul Azha.

The decision was taken in meeting presided over by City Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Monday.

The community department of the city government will launch the campaign in coordination with all the towns administrations, police, NGOs and scouts.

An anti-begging cell will be set up in the community department.

The meeting was attended by Town Nazimeen, DCO, DIG (operations), EDOs and representatives of NGOs.—PPI
