SHIKARPUR, Feb 1: A group of bandits on Friday night deprived passengers of a wagon (R-0660) of cash and other valuable items after hijacking the vehicle near the Eid Gah, Garhi Yasin.

The bandits abandoned passengers on the Jagan link road and took away the vehicle towards the forest area.

The wagon was travelling towards Shikarpur from Larkana.

The Garhi Yasin police, accompanied by contingents from other police stations, recovered the vehicle after an encounter near the Dargah of Shah Jalil. However, the bandits managed to escape with their loot.
