JUI-F stages anti-US rallies

SUKKUR, Jan 30: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F workers here on Thursday held a protest demonstration against the imminent US attack on Iraq.

The demonstration was followed by a meeting at the Madressah-i-Tauhidia, where MNA Maulana Ubaidullah Bhutto, Maulana Abdul Haq and others delivered speeches.

They urged the heads of the Muslim countries to rise on the occasion to foil the designs of the US and the UK to attack Iraq.

They also called for unity among Muslim nations, warning that the Muslim people would react to the US-UK aggression against Iraq all over the world.

Later, the protesters burnt the flags of the US and the UK.

Processions over the issue were also taken out in Nau Goth and Qureshi Goth by the JUI.

KASHMIR DAY: The Pakistan Muslim League-Q will organize rallies, public meetings and seminars on Feb 5 to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

This was said by federal Railways Minister and Sindh PML-Q president Ghous Bux Mehar, while talking to journalists here on Thursday.

He said that a big public meeting would be held in Karachi.

NADRA: The director of NADRA, Sukkur region, has terminated the services of its 39 absconding representatives of Khairpur district for not depositing the NIC forms and fees received from the people.
