RAWALPINDI, Jan 29: Two women robbed and assaulted an expatriate after abducting him from Islamabad International Airport, police said on Wednesday.

The victim, Amjad Iqbal, stated in his complaint lodged with the Airport police station that he arrived at Islamabad airport from Greece on January 15 where two unidentified women offered him lift to Sohawa.

Iqbal accepted the offer but during the journey, the women sprayed some chemical on him as a result of which he fainted.

The victim said the women administered some injections to him and later assaulted him. Iqbal was also deprived of Euro 5,600, a mobile phone and other valuables.

The victim managed to escape from the clutches of women and reported the incident to the police on Wednesday.

Initially, the Airport police directed him to lodge a complaint with Sohawa police

as the crime scene was not in their jurisdiction, but after the intervention of senior police officials, the police lodged an FIR.

However, the culprits are yet to be arrested by the police.
