21 held in raid

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 28: Police arrested 21 workers of Jamiatul Ansar, previously known as Harkatul Mujahideen, and recovered weapons and literature in a raid on its offices in the Tank Adda on Tuesday.

The detained include Nayab, the district Amir; Badar Mansoor, Zulfiqar, Mir Jawadul Hassan, Umer Badshah, Zain, Salim, Abdul Sattar, Khalil, Zareen and Sajjad.

The police claimed to have recovered a 7mm rifle, a Kalashnikov, a 30-bore pistol, a mobile telephone and literature.

Five of the detainees belong to Azad Kashmir, the sources said.—Correspondent
