Workshop on ultrasound

MULTAN, Jan 27: A six-day workshop on ultrasound will open at the Multan Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy, Nishtar Hospital, here on Feb 3.

The workshop will be inaugurated by Dr Kausar Abdullah Malik, member, Bio Sciences, Islamabad.

Dr Anjum Nawaz and Dr Asghar Malik from Lahore and Dr Durre Sabih from Minar will deliver lectures on the subject.

Minar, working under the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, is an institute to cure cancer and other related maladies.

STABBED: Two dacoits looted Rs60,000 in cash from an official of a telephone firm and stabbed him on resistance here on Monday.

Imam Bakhsh of Gulgasht Colony told the police on Sunday that he along with his colleague, Mazhar Husain, was counting cash when two men armed with a knife entered the office and stabbed him.

They fled after snatching cash.

The Old Kotwali police have registered a case.—APP
