HYDERABAD: Doctors demand job regularization

Dawn Report

HYDERABAD, Jan 26: A group of contract doctors staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Sunday against delay in regularization of their services.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders of the Contract Doctors Forum, Dr Shahid Qureshi, Dr Riaz Shaikh and others, demanded of the Sindh government to table a bill in the Sindh Assembly session on Monday, regarding confirmation of contract doctors.

They warned if the services of the doctors were not regularized and their salary was not paid, they would stage a demonstration outside the Sindh Assembly building and the Chief Minister House.

LARKANA: The doctors, working on contract basis in Chandka Medical College Hospital, have demanded regularization of their jobs.

The demand was made during the general body meeting of the Contract Doctors’ Association, held here on Sunday.

Later, they took out a procession from the hospital, with Dr Mohammed Ali Thalho and Dr Govinda Bhojwani leading the protesters.

They also staged a sit-in outside the local press club.
