ISLAMABAD, Jan 25: The US ambassador to Islamabad, Nancy Powell, following a meeting with the federal health minister Mohammad Nasir Khan, said the USAID would formulate a plan of action in consultation with the health ministry for better health care system in the country.

The health minister said the USAID plan would help strengthen the health system. “We have the infrastructure from the basic health unit to tertiary level, but what we need is implementation,” Mr Khan said.

For the implementation, he added, the logistics, equipment and manpower was needed for which the federal government was coordinating with the provincial and district governments.
