Ahmad’s five goals steers Remounts

LAHORE, Jan 24: Five goals by Ahmad Khan steered Remounts to an 8-6 win over Gulf Pak in Highmount Chemicals Punjab Cup polo on Friday.

Ahmad, was ably supported by Isfandyar Pataudi who scored two goals while Asif Zahoor chipped in a goal to make the tally.

With a two goal handicap, Gulf Pak scored goals through Arsalan Najib (2) and Omer Minhas and Ahmed Ali Tiwana who contributed a goal apiece.

Three goals by Shah Shamyl Alam, helped EPCOT Shoes to beat Sunday TV 10-9 on completion of eight chukkers.

Both teams were tied 4-4 in the first four chukker’s play held on Wednesday.

The winners scored six goals in the second part of four chukkers while Sunday TV five goals.

Besides Shamyl, the other scorers for the winners were Sufi Haris and Sufi Amir who added two and a goal, respectively.

For the losers, Atif Yar Tiwana and Sattar Niazi scored two goal each while Faaiz Rahim Khan banged home a goal.
