Differences with NA to be resolved: CM

SUKKUR, Jan 24: Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar has said that his government will complete its five-year term.

He ruled out the existence of any threat to his government, saying that the differences with the National Alliance leaders would be settled soon.

The chief minister was talking to journalists at the circuit house here on Thursday.

He termed the rumours about instability of the Sindh government baseless, saying that the rumours had been spread by those, who had lost the October elections.

Mr Mahar said that ministers and district Nazimeen of Sindh should confine themselves to their respective roles and should not come into any confrontation.

District government system was set up for the welfare of the people and they would improve it, he said.

He said that the top priority of his government was improvement in law and order situation in the province.

He said that a meeting will be held at Islamabad soon to find out a solution to the problem of the movement of criminals across the border of upper Sindh and Balochistan, especially in connection with tribal clashes, kidnapping, and banditry.

The Sindh chief minister said that he had talked with the Balochistan government in this connection and steps were being taken to improve the border situation, including creation of a border security force.

He said that a jirga will be held soon to settle the tribal dispute between the Mahars and the Jatois.
