8 shot dead in Lucknow
LUCKNOW, Jan 23: Eight wedding guests were killed on Thursday in a drive-by shooting in Uttar Pradesh, police said.
Some 15 people who attended a marriage in a nearby village had gone sightseeing at Kalinjer Fort, when at least five assailants opened fire from two jeeps, police said. Six died on the spot, while two at hospital.—AFP
