ISLAMABAD, Jan 23: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday issued notice to the Attorney General for Monday on ten petitions challenging disqualification for the Senate elections.

The bench comprised Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar and Justice Sardar Raza Khan.

The ten petitioners have challenged their disqualification for being elected members of the Senate on account of losing national or provincial assemblies elections held on Oct 10.

The petitioners are: Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Syed Amjad Hussain Shah, Muhammad Ayub, Saifullah Paracha, Baloch Khan Mengal, Rashid Ahmed, Shaukatullah, Muhammad Saleh Shah, Meraj Begum Humayun Khan and Arbab Muhammad Kashi. —APP
