Impressive win for PBG

LAHORE, Jan 22: Four matches were decided in three on-going different polo tournaments on Wednesday.

In a High Mount Junior Cup match, President Body Guard (PBG) defeated Greens Fuels 7-4 1/2.

Raja Sattar scored four goals for the winners while Ahsan Javed Sher added two and Rafiq a goal.

Having one and a half goal on  handicap, Green Fuels scored three goals, two from Feroze Gulzar and a goal from Azam Hayat Noon.

In another match, Askari Water defeated Rangers 7-5.

Three goals were contributed by Syed Hasan Raza Gillani and two by Samiullah while Rehman chipped in with a  goal  for  the winners who were playing with an advantage of a goal on handicap. For the losers, Amanat struck three goals and Samee two.

In a Highmount Chemicals Punjab Cup, a three  and  a half  goal advantage on handicap helped EPCOT defeat Remounts  7 1/2—6. Hissam Ali Hyder scored three goals for EPCOT while Usman Hai contributed a goal.

For Remounts, Ahmad Khan and Isfandyar Pataudi and Asif Zahoor scored two goal apiece.

In an eight-chukker  match of the Lahore Polo Club Cup Sunday TV and EPCOT Shoes were locked in 4-4 draw in  the  first round of four chukker.

Sattar Niazi scored three goals for Sunday TV while Sattar Moazo a goal.

For EPCOT Shoes Pablo Bagnardi slammed two goals while Shah Shamyl Alam and Sufi Muhammad Amir added a goal each.
