RAWALPINDI, Jan 22: Azhar Shafiq struck a patient half-century on Wednesday as Pakistan Customs managed to score 212 in their first innings in their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy pre-quarterfinal against Wapda at KRL Stadium.
It was just Azhar who gave some respectability to the total, cracking 81 during a 181-minute stay at the crease for which he faced 128 balls.
Off-spinner Aqeel Ahmed with four for 38 and pacer Kashif Raza, who claimed three for 60, restricted Customs by maintaining a good line and length.
At stumps, Wapda were 44 for one with Atiq-ur-Rehman falling to pacer Imran Ali for 13. Adil Nisar and Tariq Aziz were together on eight and 18 runs respectively.
