KHAIRPUR: Board formed for autopsy

KHAIRPUR, Jan 20: A medical board has been constituted for autopsy on the body of Bakhtawar Katohar, who was allegedly poisoned to death by her husband two months back in the Shadi Shaheed village, near Khairpur.

The Khairpur civil judge has ordered to exhume the body of the women for postmortem.

The postmortem will be supervised by the first class magistrate who will be assisted by a woman doctor of the People’s Medical College, Nawabshah, and five other doctors.

The postmortem will be conducted on Jan 23.

DROWNS: A student of class-IX drowned in the Rohri Canal near Khairpur on Sunday evening.

The student, Imran Rind, resident of Luqman Khairpur locality, was playing with his friends when he slipped and fell into the canal.

SNATCHED: Some unidentified armed men robbed Abdul Latif Bhanbharo of his motorcycle and cash near the Rohri Canal regulator in Rasoolabad, Sobhdero taluka, on Sunday.

BODY RECOVERED: The body of 22-year-old Abdul Majeed Maitalo, who was missing for the last three days, was recovered in the Sanwal Maitalo village, Ahmadpur police station jurisdiction, on Monday.—Correspondent
