KARACHI, Jan 19: Fine performances by Owais Jummani and Sohail Akhtar helped Haseen Habib defeat Shell Pakistan by four wickets in a match of the first Abdul Quddoos Sheikh Memorial Multinational Cricket Tournament at NBP Sports Complex here on Sunday.
Owais Jummani captured three for 23 in five overs as Shell Pakistan were restricted to 155 for eight in their quota of 25 overs after being sent into bat.
Shell Pakistan, in fact, were off to a great start as Tahir (44) and Hassan (33) put on 83 for the opening stand before Owais made the breakthrough, getting rid of both in quick successions.
Jawwad Barry was the other successful bowler with figures of two for 25. Later he made 20 while putting on 56 for the first wicket with Emmaduddin, who contributed 20.
Sohail then excelled with a knock of 41 to inspire his side to victory. Haseen Habib reached their target of 156 in 24.1 overs with four wickets standing.
