KARACHI, Jan 19: The Amir of Tehrik-i-Minhajul Quran, Allama Dastagir Afghani, has warned that following the collapse of Communism, Islam is the target of Jewish and Christian extremists who are out to destroy Iraq first.
Addressing the Tehrik’s workers here on Sunday, he condemned the United States for “trying to crush Iraq” and observed that the US war machine was almost ready and feared that the attack would be launched in a couple of days.
Allama Afghani made an impatient appeal to the OIC to play its role in prevent the US from going ahead with the unjustified attack.
A big demonstration was held on the occasion to condemn the US designs. Various NGOs and trade unions, beside people from all walks of life, participated in the rally.—APP
