KARACHI: Eight cars, 14 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Jan 16: Twenty-two vehicles — eight cars and 14 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, police said.

Three cars were hijacked. Five others were stolen.

Five motorcycles were hijacked. Nine others were stolen.

Police also claimed on Thursday to have recovered 10 vehicles — seven cars and three motorcycles.

ROBBERY: A retired bank officer’s house was robbed in Model Colony, Malir, late Wednesday night.

Police said that four armed men barged into the house, held two boys, who were then present at the house, hostage at gunpoint and got away with cash and jewellery worth several millions of rupees.

HEROIN SEIZED: The Anti-narcotics Force arrested two foreigners at the airport on Thursday while they were trying to smuggle out 3kg heroin, adds PPI.
