Drug trafficker gets 18-month imprisonment

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15: The additional district and sessions judge, Sanaullah Malik, on Wednesday awarded one and a half year rigorous imprisonment to a drug trafficker.

The court also imposed Rs20,000 fine on the convict, Rahimullah, who confessed to the crime. Tarnol police had arrested the convict and seized two kilograms of charas from his possession.

In case of default on payment of fine, he would have to face three months additional imprisonment.

ADNAN SAMI: Renowned pop singer Adnan Sami Khan has decided to handover jewellry and other valuables belonging to his former wife, Zeba Bakhtiar.

The lawyers of the two sides appeared before the court of civil judge Sheikh Mohammad Akram in a case related to the jewellry.

The counsels pleaded that on next hearing the reconciliatory papers would be presented in the court and the locker be opened in presence of the judge.

The counsel of Adnan Sami Khan said as per agreement between the two parties, the jewellry belonging to Zeba Bakhtiar would be handed over to her.

The court directed the two sides to present the documents on Friday.

BAIL ACCEPTED: Additional district and sessions judge Chaudhary Yunas has accepted the bail application of a person accused of possessing illegal arms and explosives.
