SC issues notice to NAB

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15: A Supreme Court bench on Wednesday issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the bail petition filed by former federal minister Jehangir Badar.

The bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, after hearing Advocate Akram Shaikh issued the notice to the NAB chief for Jan 23.

Jehangir Badar is under detention on the charge that in his period as minister, he made illegal appointments.

The counsel said that his client made no personal gain and only provided jobs to the unemployed youth of the country.
