Eritrea to open mission

ISLAMABAD, Jan 14: President Gen Pervez Musharraf thanked the Eritrean Government for its consistent support to Islamabad on the Kashmir dispute and assured of Pakistan’s full cooperation to Eritrea in the areas identified by its visiting delegation.

The president was talking to Ali Said Abdella, minister for foreign affairs of the State of Eritrea, who called on him with Education Minister Osman Salh here on Monday.

Mr Said informed the president about his government’s decision to open a resident mission in Islamabad.

He also reiterated his country’s support to the right of self-determination to Kashmiris and for a solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions.

He also conveyed his government’s deep gratitude for the support of Pakistan to Eritrea during its struggle for independence.
