KARACHI, Jan 13: Three ships carrying iron ore, coal and containers arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Four ships, Medi Manila, Popi-s, Astro Pegasus and Mutiara were busy in discharging coal, edible oil and furnace oil respectively.

Cargo handling activity remained slow as the total tonnage handled fell to 19,435 tons, exclusively of import, comprising 3,445 tons of furnace oil, 2,000 tons of edible oil and 13,990 tons of coal.

Two ships, Stolt Alliance and Astro Pegasus sailed out on Sunday. Pearl of Jeddah, P&Q Nedlloyd Damietta and Tasman Spirit were expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Fotco Oil Terminal respectively on Monday.
