PPP leader supports Amir Rokhari

MIANWALI, Jan 12: PML-Q candidate Amir Hayat Khan Rokhari’s chances to win PP-44 by-poll have brightened after Syed GM Shah’s support to him.

A PPP candidate for the same seat during the Oct 10 general elections, Shah told newsmen he had shifted loyalty on the ‘pressure’ of MNA Dr Sher Afgan Khan whom he considered his brother. Afgan, it may be added, has already joined the P-5 to lend support to the Jamali government..

Addressing a public meeting at Dandi Sharif, Shah announced his support for Amir Hayat Rokhri.

He ran for PP-44 from the PPP platform against Gul Hameed Rokhri but lost with a narrow margin. Shah belonged to Shia sect and there are many shia community villages in this area. As such his support to Rokhri is considered a guarantee for success.
