Steps being taken to nab Al Qaeda men: envoy

ISLAMABAD, Jan 11: Pakistan Ambassador to Afghanistan, Rustam Shah Momand has said that some Al Qaeda members might be hiding in Pakistan but the government was making all-out efforts to arrest them as soon as possible.

According to BBC, Rustam Shah said some members of the Taliban and Al Qaeda might be hiding in Pakistan but their whereabouts were not known.

He said that the Pakistan government would definitely arrest Al Qaeda members or prominent Taliban, if found.

The Pakistan envoy made these observations before journalists in Kandahar.

He said Pakistan would extend all support to the Afghan government in nabbing the Al Qaeda and Taliban.

He said his visit to Kandahar was aimed at inspecting the Pakistan Consulate and Spin Buldok-Chaman border.—APP
