Title for PUTD

LAHORE, Jan 11: Punjab University Teaching Department (PUTD) won the university’s women  inter-collegiate volleyball championship,  defeating defending  champions, Government College, Sialkot by three sets to one at the New Campus’s courts on Saturday.

PUTD won the first set after facing tough opposition 25- 21. The defending champions retaliated and notched up victory in the second set 25-19 to level the score.

The winning side struck back, to clinch the remaining two sets in a row 25-15, 25-21 to seal the fate of the match.

Asifa Syed, Zille Huma, Munazza Khatoon and Nadeem Manzoor played well for the winners. Samyab, Yasmin and Asma gave a spirited fight for the losers.
