LAHORE, Jan 11: A spirited knock of 96 by Fahad-ul-Haq helped Lahore Whites deny Pakistan Customs any points as the fog-hit Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Group-III match ended in a tame draw at LCCA Ground on Saturday.
Lahore Whites were 255 for four when the match ended, having resumed the day at 88 for two. The home team was replying to Customs’ total of 309 for five declared.
Play on the last day started an hour after the lunch break because of poor light.
Fahad, who was 16 overnight, stroked 11 boundaries in his 234-ball innings. He received good support from Umar Javed (37 with four fours and one six) and Tariq Rasheed (43 not out with three fours)
The encounter between Sialkot and Habib Bank at Saga Ground in Sialkot also finished in a no result.
Sialkot were 161 for six in their first innings while responding to the bankers’ 201.
There was no play for the third time in four days at the Lahore Country Club in Muridke where Gujranwala faced just 13 overs on the third day to score 54 fir two against Sheikhupura.
