SHIKARPUR, Jan 11: Criticizing the governments in the Centre and Sindh, the president of the PPP, Sindh, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, has said that the governments will not be stable.
Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, Khuhro said the governments had been formed through a merger of various small parties, which had no popular support, against the wishes of the majority of the people, who had wanted the People’s Party to come into power.
Lashing out at opportunists, who had come into power through rigging in the general election under official patronage, Khuhro blamed the rulers of staging a drama of sham democracy, saying that they claimed to have restored democracy at the grassroots level, but had failed to do so.
He said that the people of Sindh had lost their confidence in the rulers.
Commenting on role of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Khuhro said that the Muttahida’s leadership was insincere regarding the interests of Sindh.
He cautioned that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s leadership had misguided the people belonging to the Urdu-speaking community.
He accused the government of disrupting the PPP’s efforts regarding formation of government in Sindh, but he expressed his confidence in the people of Sindh.
He added that the people would compel the rulers to form real democratic government, comprising the PPP very soon.
Referring to the PPP turncoats, Khuhro, said that they had defrauded the people and had also damaged the confidence of the party.
