WASHINGTON, Jan 10: Pakistan’s ambassador in the United States, Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, is visiting Houston, Dallas, and Chicago to meet the Pakistani community to discuss the situation arising from the US decision to include Pakistan in the National Security Exit and Entry Registration System (NSEERS) list, the embassy said on Friday.

The Ambassador will be discussing with the community members the latest developments on inclusion of Pakistan in the INS registration roster and steps being taken by the embassy to address their concerns with the US government.

“Ambassador Qazi has made it clear to the US Administration that Pakistan did not belong to this list and he is seeking relief from the US government for the Pakistani nationals,” said Deputy Chief of Mission, Mohammed Sadiq.

Ambassador Qazi will be in Houston on Jan 11, where he will address a meeting at 3pm, Royal Palace Hall, 9644 South Kirkwood.

The next day he will address another community meeting in Dallas at 10am at FunAs a Banquet Hall, 1210 E. Beltline Road, Richardson.
