MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 10: AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan was on Friday briefed on the past one-year performance of his Implementation and Inspection Commission by its chairman Raja Farooq Haider Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said that the execution of his directives was the responsibility of the commission and he would ensure that the institution was equipped with required legal powers as well as financial resources to carry out the task.

He pointed out that the commission’s responsibility was not only the execution of his orders but also inspection and monitoring of the agencies of the government and the development projects.

He announced on the occasion that a committee comprising chief secretary, law secretary and the commission chairman, would be set up to suggest how the recommendations of this important institution could be implemented in letter and in spirit.

“The commission is not a cosmetic institution, but its functions are very important like making the official machinery active and inspection and monitoring system effective,” he said.

The prime minister directed the government departments to cooperate with the commission, warning that he would not tolerate any slackness or indifference in this regard.

He said the primary interest and purpose of the commission was to improve the performance of the government and its institutions and he would leave no stone unturned to achieve this goal.
