KARACHI, Jan 10: Two ships carrying containers and general commodities are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves fell to only three ships because of delayed arrivals: The ships, which were berthed included Kota Indah to unload and load containers, Aegis to unload general cargo and Barkatka to load molasses.

Four ships, Kota Indah, Kota Teraju, Al-Mirqab and Isola Scraltta departed while Oriental Bright, Bakrkatka, Aegis and Khairpur at due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as the total tonnage amounted to 83,793 tons comprising 18,719 tons of export cargo and 65,074 tons of import tonnage.
