LARKANA, Jan 9: Thirteen men were injured in an exchange of fire between two groups of the Brohi clan in Sabaz Ali Brohi village near Shahdadkot on Thursday.

The clash was the result of a dispute over sharing of irrigation water.

Those injured were identified as Mohammad Ishaq, Khair Mohammad, Dad Mohammad, Ghulam Nabi, Lal Khan, Ali Hassan, Abdul Karim, Fida Hussain, Abdul Rahim, Mohammad Amin, Munawwar Ali, Abdul Hamid and Khadim Hussain Brohi.

Two of the injured — Ghulam Nabi and Dad Mohammad — were admitted to the Chandka Medical Collage Hospital in serious condition and others were taken to the Shahdadkot Taluka Hospital.

SIT-IN: The passengers of a Larkana-bound coaster staged a sit-in on the Larkana-Moenjodaro Road on Thursday after they were robbed by armed men near Pir Kabir Shah.

The robbers also opened fire on a marriage party that arrived at the time when they were looting the passengers of the coaster.

Gunmen, accompanying the marriage caravan, repulsed the fire but no casualties were reported.
