HYDERABAD, Jan 9: Hundreds of school children brought out processions and staged demonstrations outside the press club here on Thursday to mark the National Children’s Day.

Different programmes were also organized in the schools.

The Hyderabad Darul Atfaal — a rehabilitation centre for the handicapped— organized a programme at its unit-4, Latifabad, centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Darul Atfaal information director Allah Bachayo Memon, Hyderabad Auqaf administrator Syed Qadir Bux and others stressed the need for providing facilities to handicapped children.

They paid tribute to the late Hakeem Mohammad Saeed for his services in the cause of children.

Prizes and gifts were also distributed among children.

The National Children’s Day was also observed under the aegis of the Hyderabad Services Hospital.

Civil surgeon Dr Abdul Raheem Memon and Dr Farooq Memon led a walk of school children, which terminated at the Sindh Museum after marching on different roads.

The students sang national songs and presented tableaus on the occasion.

The students were given awards and prizes.

LUMHS: The additional controller of examinations, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, has announced the schedule of MCQ examinations, 2003, of first professional BDS.

According to the schedule, the paper of physiology will be held on Feb 19, the paper of anatomy on Feb 22 and the paper of dental materials will be held on Feb 25.

LLB EXAMS: The controller of examinations, University of Sindh, on Wednesday announced forms for annual examinations of LLB could be submitted up to Jan 23.
