Incentives for teachers

LAHORE, Jan 6: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that remuneration and special increments would be given to schoolteachers on account of their outstanding performance.

The Education department has been directed to evolve a special package in this regard, says an official announcement.

The performance of teachers will be evaluated on the basis of overall progress and results of students.

Meanwhile, the chief minister directed schools to remit re-admission fee up to matric level. The order is aimed at checking the dropout rate.—APP
