Passengers of two buses looted
SIALKOT, Jan 5: A gang of eight dacoits looted two buses on Kalassswala-Pasrur-Lahore Road on Saturday night.
According to details, the dacoits intercepted Lahore-bound bus (No LE 2434) and Rawalpindi-bound bus (No RIC 9851) near Sokan Wind village (Jamkey Dhathiya). They held up the passengers and deprived them of gold ornament, cash, wrist watches and other valuables, worth Rs300,000.
Later, the dacoits deflated the tyres of the buses and escaped with the loot.
KASHMIRIS PROTEST: Self-determination day was observed on Sunday by Kashmiris living in Sialkot district.
According to a press release issued here, various meetings were held in Sialkot City, Cantonment, Daska, Bhopalwala, Sambrial, Begowala, Uggoki, Pasrur, Badiana and Chowinda.
Speaking at these meetings, Kashmiris’ leaders condemned the rising atrocities and genocide of innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
They urged the UN to ensure early implementation of its resolutions regarding self determination right to the Kashmiris, besides forcing to halt state terrorism in the occupied valley.
FOUND BURNT: An unidentified youth was found burnt from a wheat husk stockpile in Sungarwali village (Satrah) of Daska Tehsil on Saturday night.
Landlord Muhammad Ashraf went to his outhouse to fetch husk for his cattle and found the body in the burnt stockpile. He informed the Satrah police who took the body to a local hospital for autopsy.
According to the postmortem report, the youth was first killed by shooting in the head. Later, the killers put the body into the husk stockpile and set it on fire.
The body was handed over to NGO Young Blood Daska for burial.
