ISLAMABAD, Jan 5: The Met office has forecast cold and dry weather in most parts of the country but isolated light rain is likely in Northern Areas and scattered fog expected in Punjab during the next 24 hours.

The federal capital, Murree and Muzaffarabad will remain partially cloudy, Lahore cold and foggy, Peshawar and Karachi dry, Quetta cold and dry, and Gilgit cloudy, the forecast said.

On Sunday minus 11 centigrade temperature was recorded in Skardu and Parachinar which was the lowest in the country.

The Met office recorded minimum temperature of 2 centigrade in Islamabad, 4 in Lahore, 8 Karachi and 4 Peshawar.—APP
