LAHORE, Jan 4: Farhan Adil and Khaqan Arsal struck half centuries as Habib Bank (HBL) earned a 33-run lead on first innings by making 221 for four against Lahore Whites on the third day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Group-III match at LCCA Ground on Saturday.
The bankers, who resumed at 31 for two, were well served by Farhan who is unbeaten on 78. Khaqan also batted well to score 66 while adding 159 for the fourth wicket with Farhan in 177 minutes.
The match started after lunch due to dense fog.
In other matches of this group, pacers Tahir Mughal (five for 45) and Zaman Haider (four for 48) helped Sialkot bowl out Sheikhupura for a paltry first innings score of 136.
At stumps, Sialkot were 84 for four.
At Saga ground, Sialkot, despite a six-wicket burst by pacer Naved Arif, Customs earned a slim first innings lead of 10 runs after scoring 183 for nine against Gujranwala at close of play.
