PESHAWAR, Jan 4: Malik Riaz Khan was unanimously elected acting Nazim of Union Council No. 7, Pishtakhara on Saturday.

The Nazim of Pishtakhara Union Council, Fayyaz Khan Khalil had been killed allegedly by the police when he was leading a procession a few month back.

The meeting, which elected the acting Nazim until the election of a permanent Nazim in the by-elections, was attended by 10 members out of the total of 12.

Those who attended the meeting included, Umar Baz, Imran, Shamsher, Mehfooz, Sabir Khan, Nasaruminullah advocate, Liaquat Khan, Manzoor Khan, one woman councillor and Malik Riaz Khan.
