DADU, Jan: The District Officer Revenue & Estate (DOR) his family members, Mukhtiarkar Johi, two guards and two other officials of the revenue department were kidnapped by dacoits near Kasbo police station, some 60km from here on late Friday night.

The DOR Pervez Ahmed Junejo, 50, resident of Paat Sharif, was going to Gorakh Hill Station after visiting the Kasbo-Drigh Bala link road. When they reached near the hilly area a gang of dacoits led by Ghulam Qadir Noohani intercepted the vehicles and kidnapped all of them.

At a little distance the dacoits released the Mukhtiarkar Nazar Mohammed Shahani, the wife and son of DOR, two guards and two other officials of the revenue department and took away Mr Junejo to the hilly areas.

When this reporter contacted the Assistant Mukhtiarkar Johi Ishtiaque Ahmed Mangi he confirmed the kidnapping .
