KARACHI: 24 vehicles hijacked

KARACHI, Jan 3: Twenty-four vehicles — 10 cars and 14 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Friday, police said.

Five cars were hijacked. Five others were stolen.

Six motorcycles were hijacked. Eight others were stolen.

Police also claimed on Friday to have recovered five motorcycles.

ROBBERIES: Five robberies were committed in the city on Friday, police said.

Four armed men barged into the house of Najma Feroz, held the occupants of the house hostage at gunpoint and got away with cash, a TV set and a computer.

In Nazimabad, armed men barged into a clinic and robbed Abdul Wahid of Rs13,000.

Unidentified men robbed Fashiuddin of cash at gunpoint in the police limits of TPX.

Mohammed Latif lodged an FIR at Korangi Industrial Area police station that unidentified armed men, riding a motorcycle, deprived him of cash in sector 7.

Bandits barged into the house of Imtiaz Ahmed, held the family hostage at gunpoint and looted Rs15,000.
