ISLAMABAD, Jan 2: A parliamentary delegation from Malaysia will be the first to come to Pakistan soon after the revival of parliament.
The delegation is arriving here on Friday after concluding their visit to Egypt and Turkey. On Saturday, the delegation will call on Deputy Speaker National Assembly Sardar Yaqub.
Dato Ahmad Hasni bin Mohammad Hanadzlah is leading the delegation, which includes Datuk Ahmad Zahid bin Hamadi, M. Abdul Rahman bin Yousof, Che Ghani bin Che Ambak, Dr Yree Moh Chai, members of the Malaysian parliament as well as two women senators, Ms Datin Purizah binti Abu Kassim and Ms Nasimah binti Hashim.
Datin Faizah binti Kamruddin, a member of the delegation, is the spouse of the leader. The arrival of the first delegation demonstrates close interaction between the two brotherly parliaments.
The delegation is expected to call on Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri on Friday and then leave for Kualalumpur Saturday evening.—Jonaid Iqbal
