Four die in accident

HARIPUR, Jan 1: Four people, including three of a family from Rawalpindi, were killed and three others injured seriously on Tuesday evening when their taxi plunged from a bridge into a ravine in village Besham, Khanpur, some 45km from here.

Police said Kala Khan and his family were going in the car (ID-577) to village Kotla when it fell from the bridge, killing four people on the spot and injuring three others.

The dead were identified as Kala Khan, his wife Safdar Jan, son Ghulam Fareed and the car driver, whose name could not be ascertained.

Two of the injured, Sabir Qadir and Ms Maroof Jan, were taken to the Pims in Islamabad in critical condition.—Correspondent
