SUKKUR, Jan 1: A group of people of the Hindu community blocked the Indus Highway near Karampur Laro, Shikarpur district, on Wednesday and demanded recovery of kidnapped Hindu traders.

On the assurance of the DPO, Shikarpur, that the hostages would soon be recovered, the protesters dispersed peacefully.

The traders, Derwaish and Naresh, both the brothers, were returning home after closing their shop on Tuesday when five armed men intercepted their motorcycle and took them away at gunpoint, leaving behind the motorcycle.

HOSTAGES RETURN: Four men of the Golo tribe, including Mohammad Ismail, Abdul Sattar and Bahadur, who were kidnapped in Rajwah on Tuesday, reached home in Thul on Wednesday.
