KARACHI, Dec 31: United Gymkhana won the inaugural match of the Umra League cricket championship, beating Comrade Sports by six wickets on Monday.

Batting first, Comrade Sports were restricted to 178 for the loss of eight wickets in 25 overs. Farhan Khan top scored with 55 runs. Umer Khan 41 and Tanveer Ali 36 also made useful contributions. Asghar Ali three for 15 was the pick of the bowlers.

United in reply reached the target 182 for six wickets in 23.4 overs. Amir Ali was unbeaten with 69 and Asghar was not out with 34.
