KARACHI, Dec 31: An additional district and sessions judge, Malir, Abdul Malik, issued on Monday non-bailable warrants for the arrest of top leaders of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, including party chief Afaq Ahmed, in a murder case.

Younus Khan, the party’s only MPA in the Sindh Assembly, is already in custody for his alleged involvement in the case.

The judge ordered police to arrest the Haqiqi chief, secretary-general Aamir Khan, Imtiaz Koti and Danish and produce them in the court on Jan 7.

The Haqiqi MPA was arrested on Dec 10 for his alleged involvement in the murder of a cab driver in July this year. He remained in police custody for interrogation till Dec 24 when he was given in judicial custody.

The case pertained to the killing of cab driver Kafiluddin and wounding of his passenger, Rafiqun Nisa, in a firing incident in the police limits of Malir City.
