KARACHI, Dec 31: The NED University of Engineering and Technology would be holding an orientation programme for the newly admitted students on the campus on January 6.

While informing that the January 6 has also been fixed as the date for commencement of the session for all classes, the varsity sources said that the classes of second, third and fourth year students would not be held on the day due to the faculty members’ preoccupation with other duties.

A university press release said that the attendance of the first year students on Jan 6,

as already announced by the university, would be compulsory. About 900 students have been admitted to first year classes this year, a source added.

RESULTS: The NED university on Tuesday declared the results of the First year —Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering — Annual Examinations, 2001-2002 batch, alongwith the supplementary examination, 2000-2001 batch.

The university also announced the results of the First Year— Electronic Engineering— annual examinations, 2001-2002 batch, alongwith the supplementary examinations of various batches.
