MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 30: At least five people, including a police constable, were injured in Indian shelling from across the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir on Sunday and Monday, police said.
Police superintendent Raja Ghulam Sarwar told Dawn that two men, identified as Liaquat and Ghulam Rasool, were injured late Sunday in the village of Changan, some 130km from here in the upper belt of the valley.
The shelling stopped after midnight, but resumed at about 6:30am on Monday, injuring Nurana Begum, 40, and Mohammad Saeed, 40, in Lala village, some 88km from here. They were admitted to a local military hospital.
Elsewhere, the SP said, a police constable, Mohammad Safeer was injured near Rakkar Post in Hajira sector in Poonch district late Sunday. He was brought to CMH Muzaffarabad early Monday.
