Protest demo cancelled

MINGORA, Dec 28: Trader unions and other organisations of Swat, Shangla and Buner districts have cancelled their joint protest demonstration scheduled for Dec 30, against the shifting of the intermediate board offices.

The decision was taken after the restoration of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Saidu Sharif.

The bodies, including those of traders, students, lawyers, transporters, government employees and elected representative had planned the protest demonstration.

The provincial government has notified that separate boards will be set up at Saidu Sharif in Swat and Chakdarra in Lower Dir district.  

Earlier, the board offices had been shifted to Chakdarra from Saidu Sharif.
