ISLAMABAD, Dec 26: The $4 billion gas pipe line project from Iran to India via Pakistan would help generate economic activity in the region.
This was stated by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president, Mian Akram Farid, in a statement issued here.
Mr Farid said the pipe line project would boost the industrial sector in the country as well.
He urged Iran to relaunch a crude oil project from Balochistan which was stalled a few years ago. Owing to the geo- strategic location of Iran, the project would help both the countries come closer and develop the region, he added.
