Two killed in clash

SUKKUR, Dec 26: Two persons were killed and two were injured in a gun battle between the Chachar and the Jagirani tribesmen in Kutcho Bindi area of Ghotki district on Thursday.

The clash was the result of a land dispute between the two groups.

The Chachars launched an attack on the Jagiranis, who retaliated.

In the ensuing exchange of fire, Gul Hasan Jagirani and Ali Nawaz Chachar were killed and two men were injured, whose names could not ascertained immediately.

Later, the police arrested some 10 men from both the parties.

PROTEST: Hundreds of the Golo tribesmen blocked the Indus Highway near Kandhkot on Thursday.

They were protesting against the kidnapping of two men, Barkat Ali and Shah Baig, from Bakhshapur and Tangwani.

Meanwhile, Mir Mohammad, who was kidnapped from Kandhkot, reached home on Thursday.
